Two Souls
The spatial arrangement “TWO SOULS”, which is the fifth derivative of the intermedial transversal “Tod mit Vorteil”, is an act of two robotic speakers, an act without beginning and without end, an act of training, appropriating and imitating the other. It symbolizes and embodies man’s dichotomous attitude of facing his own aloneness in the desire to emulate another, which is put into practice only in the world beyond the timeline of man’s existence.
Tod mit Vorteil (Death with Benefit) is a sound composition or installation of eight compositions of vocals and traditional analog harmony, recorded on an H5zoom in a bedroom and later mastered (David Darlington/Grammy winner).
The lyrics are taken from Soviet mating ads from the 90s of the last century, translated into German. The compositions are based on musical-mathematical schemes and algorithms that dictate or metaphysically connect people who will never meet in real life.
