Spinebot

The newest member in the family of Doepner’s robotPartners is the spineBot, developed 2019. The work consists of 2 pneumatically operated soft-bot objects that are somehow similar to a spine, but equipped with each a spotlight and emitting simultaneous sounds with their motions.

The spineBot is conceived as a artistic tool for performances, installations and concerts, but it became even more, drew it’s own story through it’s iconic presence and now makes the artist serving the Bot to perform as a partner on stage together with dancers, actors, musicians and other artists.
